A Little Party Never Killed Nobody!!

“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past..”

Hosting private group shoots is a lot of fun! It’s virtually no work on me as an “organizer” to the point where I refuse to take credit for organizing it at all. I ask that they do not credit me as such when they post their photos. All I do is provide a location! Everyone I choose works so organically with each other. WE all are in this together. No one person is above any other. The models are responsible for their own wardrobe, hair and makeup and they always blow me away.

I can not say enough about having the right people around you. This is true in all aspects of life. These people will inspire you, challenge you and make you a better person.

Last year we all threw together Gatsby’s Dinner Party/Speakeasy at Castle McCulloch. Castle Catering did a fantastic job decorating some beautiful “tablescapes” for the event. Again, all models here provided their own wardrobe, accessories, hair and makeup. See,they rock!

“And I like large parties. They’re so intimate. At small parties there isn’t any privacy.”

This event was a blast! I had always wanted to attend a “Gatsby” styled shoot. I feel like we more than covered the theme! Running around at the castle has such a positive vibe. It’s difficult not be be happy and excited at such a beautiful place! AND esp in such great company!

Most everything I used for this shoot was found at Goodwill. The shoes pictured in the featured image I made from white oxfords and a paint marker. I also had a friend,Marcia Et Madame make my classy headband pictured below. It was gorgeous! Goes to show what you can do on a Goodwill budget! For instance…this dress!

$749 tag still attached….for $5.00 Now if that isn’t magical then I don’t know what is! I wish I had a million photos of this dress. The way it flares out at the bottom is incredible.

Huge thanks, again,to everyone who was involved. I could not make my ideas come to life without you. You are a group unlike any other!
