Bedroom Hymns

“This is as good a place to fall as any
We’ll build our altar here…”

A few years back I did a boudoir shoot at Studio 51 in Charlotte with photographers Kenneth A Kivett ,Sheila Scott Carroll, linda Packard and makeup artist Sarah. The photos were to be used in promotion for upcoming Valentine’s day boudoir sessions. It was sort of last minute so I grabbed the only sort of lingerie I had at that time, some pearls and hosiery and hit the road!

“And I am done with my graceless heart
So tonight I’m gonna cut it out and then restart…”

There were several setups and three models all together. Each of us seemed to portray very different themes so it worked out well! I was red and sassy 🙂

“But I woke up and there they were beside me
And I don’t believe it but I guess it’s true
Some feelings, they can travel too…”

“No light, no light in your bright blue eyes
I never knew daylight could be so violent
A revelation in the light of day,
You can’t choose what stays and what fades away…”

Since I only brought one outfit Sheila got creative with a mans shirt, pearls and some glasses.I wasn’t quite sure I could rock this look but I think it turned out great!

“It’s a fine romance but it’s left me so undone
It’s always darkest before the dawn…”

This was a super fun shoot! Thanks again to everyone involved. You all made me feel sassy 🙂

“And in the dark,I can hear your heartbeat
I tried to find the sound…”
