“Listen up, cause I’m only telling you this once. I’m not bedtime story lady, so pay attention. It’s 2033. The world is *screwed* now. You see, a while ago this humongous comet came crashing into the earth. Bam, total devastation. End of the world as we know it. No celebrities, no cable TV, no water. It hasn’t rained in 11 years. Now 20 people gotta squeeze inside the same bathtub – so it ain’t all bad…”
Tank Girl cosplays are super fun, filled with attitude and can be very inexpensive to throw together! I had everything you see here in my closet aside from the weapons and the decal on the shirt. I was going to paint a bulls eye onto the tank but a friend helped me print a decal instead straight of the internet!
It’s all in fun so make it your own. I usually shoot for cosplay to be under $20 but this one cost me $0.
” Look, if you want to torture me, spank me, lick me, do it. But if this poetry shit continues, shoot me now, please.”
James Polk of Polk Creative and I wandered around downtown Greensboro and shot in some fun locations. We utilized back alleys and older parts of buildings…went down under the tracks.
So let’s break down the parts I used to make this cosplay:
- Aviator Hat
- Bulls Eye Tank
- Various striped thigh highs
- Jean Vest
- Random necklaces
- I wore a black wig because I couldn’t find my blue one
- I wrapped cut up fishnet stockings around my wrists
- Borrowed weapons
“Look, it’s been swell, but the swelling’s gone down.”
Cosplay is fun and doesn’t have to break the bank! Upcycle and thrift stores are your best friends!
