“We’re All Mad Here”

“Yes, that’s it! Said the Hatter with a sigh, it’s always tea time.”

The Mad Hatter of Alice In Wonderland is a character I can relate to in many ways. Not one particular version though, I’d say. Basically a combination of every one of them that I have ever seen represented in text and film and then some of my own flavor thrown in for funsies.

These photos were all shot in a bar called After Hours in downtown High Point,NC. The Photography group I was a part of,The NCPG,had a Halloween meetup there and I attended with some friends. I used to drag this Leg Avenue costume out and rewrite whatever was on the hat to make it match the party or event.

“Why is a raven like a writing desk?”

I believe I was going for an Alice/Hatter combo in this costume. I shot in contacts all the time back then so I threw in two different colors for kicks. It really was a fun shoot!

“You know what the issue is with this world? Everyone wants a magical solution to their problem, and everyone refuses to believe in magic.”

I hope everyone is having an excellent Halloweek!!!!! Anyone have any rad costumes you’re making for an event?! Tell me all about it!
